Vitabeez honey started as a family startup in 1999, in Coromandel Peninsula, North Island of New Zealand. At the beginning, John and his family started selling their locally produced honey to the local Sunday market. They gained popularity and started to scale up and getting more popular in the community. Over the decades, Vitabeez expands and manage its own beekeeping farms and processing facilities to manage its own branded New Zealand manuka honey.
From Day 1, John believes that to have the best quality harvest from the bee, the environment for them should be the best and natural, for the bees to have the best ingredients in nature. Hence, this means humans must take care of the environment and the beehives to have an optimal mutual benefit environment for both parties.
New Zealand is isolated and far away from most civilization, and is famous for pristine, natural environment. Most of the forest and bushland are untouched and wild. Beekeepers place their beehives in remote areas, using trucks and sometimes helicopters to reach difficult areas. This result in some of the most nature and wonderful honey in the world.
Now you know that the pot of honey in front of you is produced from the most beautiful areas on earth.
